Research Description
The current rotation projects in the lab relate to:
(1) Novel extrachromosomal circles of DNA in normal cells and cancer: https://www.nytimes.com/2019/11/20/science/dna-genetics-cancer.html
(2) Long noncoding RNAs that regulate cancer, e.g. DRAIC, or skeletal muscle differentiation, e.g. MUNC
(3) Novel short noncoding RNAs related to microRNAs: tRFs in the context of cancer.
(4) Bioinformatics for cancer: https://wina.com/podcasts/uva-discovers-how-genetic-testing-could-improve-patient-outcomes/
