Patrick Grant UVa Faculty Collaborative Research Interests

Histone modifications lead to structural changes in chromatin or the recruitment of effector proteins, which can regulate gene expression, DNA repair and replication. This team is involved in the characterization of such epigenetic changes associated with either cancer or neurodegenerative disease.
