Dr. Jogender Tushir-Singh

Dr. Jogender Tushir-Singh, Assistant Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics, Member UVA Cancer Center has been awarded with Department of Defense (DoD), Ovarian Cancer Academy Early Career Award. The award is highly prestigious and strategic investment by the Ovarian Cancer Academy as only 2 scholars are awarded each year with a 4-year funding in a nationwide competition.

About the Early Investigator Award:The DoD and Ovarian Cancer Research Program (OCRP) created Ovarian Cancer Academy in FY09. The academy is intended to be a unique, interactive virtual academy providing required mentoring, national networking, and a peer group for junior faculty. The overarching goal of the Ovarian Cancer Academy is to develop successful and highly productive ovarian cancer researchers.
