Dr.Edward EgelmanCongratulations to Dr. Edward Egelman for being selected as a recipient of the 2018 Fulbright Specialist Project Award, details below:

I am pleased to inform you that the project proposal from W International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology in Warsaw with the below project dates has been approved by the U.S. Department of State, and you have been identified by the host institution as the individual who will serve as the Fulbright Specialist on the project.

Start (Departure from U.S.): 5/13/2018

End (Departure from Poland): 5/27/2018

Project Length: 15 days

To join the Fulbright Specialist Program, all participants are required to be approved by the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board (FFSB). Now that you have been matched to an approved host institution project, your application information will be sent to the FFSB for final approval. We do not expect any delays in this process, but do note that your ultimate participation is contingent on FFSB approval.

This project is fully funded by the Polish-U.S. Fulbright Commission. Benefits include international round-trip economy class airfare, issuance of visa for travel (if required), enrollment in a limited health benefits program, and an honorarium ($200 per day). They will be working with you to prepare for your exchange, including facilitating the booking and purchase of your international airline tickets, enrolling you in ECA’s health benefits program, and coordinating the disbursal of your honorarium payments. Your exchange also includes lodging, meals, and in-country transportation, either through monetary or in-kind contributions, from your host institution. Your contact at the Polish-U.S. Fulbright Commission is as follows:

World Learning will be handling the monitoring and evaluation of your exchange. You will be required to provide us with emergency contact information a few weeks prior to departure and will be asked to complete a series of surveys and reports as a condition of your participation in the Program. This includes a mid-program survey, a post-program survey, and a final project report. I will be the main point of contact for these monitoring and evaluation items.

In the meantime, please find attached the Program Handbook for Specialists. This handbook contains helpful information regarding program benefits, health and safety tips, and more. While this handbook is written for those whose projects are fully managed by World Learning, we think you can still find some helpful information enclosed.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I look forward to working with you on your upcoming Fulbright Specialist grant!
